Newcastle Hamster Homes is a small, non profitable, home based rescue centre for.......you guessed it Hamsters! We are a new rescue centre therefore please excuse the lack of information currenlty available as the site is still under construction, however we do currently have space to take hamsters. We love Hamsters here at Newcastle Hamster Homes, we make no money from what we do - we do it purely because we find hamsters fascinating little creatures and believe they deserve the best care and homes possible. We provide care for rescue hamsters until they find a new loving home. During their stay with us they are fed a nutritional diet, exercised frequently and socialized so they are comfortable with human contact. They are also kept in spacious, clean cages to ensure they are very happy and have plenty to do.  |
 Once a hamster is taken in, it will spend at least 2 weeks with us before being re-homed. This ensures we can get to know their personalities, and assess if they have any health issues. Once a hamster is ready for adoption, we will only let them go if we feel they are going to a committed owner who will look after them for life. Of course sometimes unforeseen circumstances do arise, and therefore we request if you adopt one of our hamsters and can no longer keep it, that you return it to us so we can find it another home. You can find hamsters we have available for adoption under the "Hamsters For Adoption" section at the top of our page. If we do not have any, please keep checking on a weekly basis. Once a hamster comes to us for re-homing we will put a picture up in the picture gallery so you can e-mail me if you are interested in adopting. However please remember they will stay with us for at least 2 weeks before they are re-homed and we will never let a hamster go to a new home if we do not feel it is ready.
